April ode - part 1

I missed out taking part in the April A2Z heights challenge at Haikuheights. However I have penned down Haiku inspired by the challenge and will post them in parts. The first part corresponds to the first 7 prompts. The prompts of inspiration are Ascent, Butterfly, Candle, Drone, Eggshells, Fire and open prompt for which I have chosen "Kites".

******************************************

Higher and higher
desires rise, character falls
lower and lower.

******************************************

Out of leafy world,
cocooned in a silken curl,
dainty dreams unfurl.

******************************************

Seemingly feeble,
yet a million dreams alit -
candle of hope beams.

******************************************

Song of life plays on-
a lilting tune, soothing hymn,
droning melody.

******************************************

Full nest yesterday,
 broken eggshells remain now-
 tomorrow begins

******************************************

Like unabashed greed,
blind anger and deaf ego,
fire burns nonchalant.

******************************************

Unbridled joy flies,
brightening lives and skies,
stringed paper surprise.

Back to babble :)

Its been nearly a month since I last babbled here and where was I all this while you might ask. Well it was vacation time with my family that was visiting us in the US. So while blogging took a backseat, it was time to pack our bags and explore San Diego and the places around it. While weekends were earmarked for short trips out of town the weekdays were peppered with visits to the zoo, sea-world and the many lovely beaches here in sunny San Diego. Now that the gala time is over, I'm left with loads of bittersweet memories to reminisce. Each of the trips warrant a post of their own and I hope to come up with them once I sort through the tons of pictures that we clicked...

The April Haiku challenge is something I was eager to be a part of but couldn't, hopefully I should be able to post Haiku inspired by those prompts shortly.

For now, dear blog I leave you with a thought that refuses to leave my mind:
"Sometimes it is good to be candid,  sometimes it is good to remain silent. Sometimes it is tough to decide what to do but it is always the best to just follow your heart.
For the world always judges you no matter what and may label you wrong or right at will. In the end just remember that you are answerable only to your conscience, for right and wrong, good and evil are all relative..."
